This month of pictures went by so fast! And I didn’t even post images from all the things we did over that wonderful weekend. (And I know, I missed yesterday.) Well I’m going to forgive myself, and go out with a bang. This gif is pretty much how I felt all weekend. What a truly special time it was. I had such fun sharing photos this month. Thank you all for stopping by and playing along, and for all the lovely comments! I admit that blogging is (about a thousand times) easier and more fun when I have images to inspire & remind me. Can I keep it up after the pictures are gone? I don’t know…but, I’m okay with that. It is what it is. Meanwhile, I’ll keep dancing, singing, playing, loving – I hope you do too!
And in an animated version of Day 6’s Whipping Dance… The Google Photo Assistant is so much fun. I can’t help but share this gif that it made for me. This was the last “scene” thing we did before we left that beautiful place by the lake. I had bought V a birch cane for Hanukkah, and he felt that outdoors was the ideal place to use it – it just so happened that “outdoors” was also in 18 degree weather. He did let me keep my parka on this time though…
I missed yesterday’s February Photofest post. I had running around to do, then spent the afternoon with my daughter and mom, teaching Mom how to use the Instapot my dad just got her. Like my mom really needed another kitchen gadget. Name a gadget or one-use kitchen item in the universe, and it’s somewhere in my mom’s kitchen. But it was a pleasant-enough afternoon, if you discount the horrible weather I had drive in, which put me hours behind in my “to-do before I go out to the party with V” list, and posting here was (only) one of the things that got left undone. I’m okay with the sacrifice, though. Every hour I get to spend with my elderly momma is a blessing, to say nothing of getting my daughter all to myself in the car for two hours. All those things that you would tell your younger self in aRead more …
These marks they haunt me each one a memory of long ago.
This is actually my favorite one.
This is the first time I have used the blur function in Photoshop. We really should have paid attention to the background in these images, but I guess we were having too much fun and didn’t notice the bags, shoes and an ice chest that were in the background, cluttering the image up. With no background for context, though, I think the top image looks…surreal. Like I am riding a tiny, toy elephant, instead of a rather large statue. Blurring the background didn’t work at all in the image below, but I really like it, so I just cropped it close and called it a day. Neither is up to W’s standards for sure, but I think he’d give me a pass if he was here. Or take the mouse from me and do it right. lol
Well, my last one was a bit…graphic…so today I thought I’d post something a little silly, a little fun. I love my sassy socks!
But what about three, I can hear you say. There was Reward Number One, and Reward Number Two, and now Reward Number Four? What happened to three? And what ARE these “rewards”, anyway? Well let me explain. There’s this show called “The Expanse.” Have you seen it? Viper REALLY likes it. I was ambivalent about it, mostly because I have so little time to devote to TV watching, so when he kept saying, “Have you watched it yet?” I finally said, “Maybe you should make it worth my while,” and he said, “Getting wrapped up in a great show isn’t worth it?” and I said, “Well, no, especially if there’s the possibility of something better…” and the very next day he offered me a “reward” for each episode of episodes 1-4 that I watched. Ya’ll know he regulates my orgasms, dictating if I may, when, how and how many, andRead more …
In case ya’ll thought that being naked in the cold was how I prefer to be, I present Exhibit A. That was in 40 degree weather – too damn cold for me without my heavy parka on! I know, I know…not really sexy. Unless you’re into Eskimos.
After the cold and ice, there were snuggles and warm blankets.
